Services · Rescue and takeover

We take over Salesforce and NetSuite projects someone else built.

The project stalled, or the person who built it is gone. We pick it up as it stands, steady what is live, and get you back to a system your own team can run.

Systems we take over

How a takeover goes

Three ways this usually starts.

  • A stalled project restarted

Stabilise what is already live so nothing gets worse while we look, then find the real finish line rather than the one in the original plan, then deliver to it. Most stalled projects are closer to done than they feel, once the remaining work is written down honestly.

  • An orphaned system adopted

First we watch what it actually does, then we make it safe to run again, then we write it down. Only then do we change anything. Nobody who inherits a system understands it on day one, so we work in that order deliberately instead of guessing at a fix and hoping.

  • A handover done properly

Runbooks, source control and the keys end up with your team, whether we keep maintaining it or step away. The measure of a takeover is not that we can run the system, it is that you can run it without us.

Common questions

What buyers ask before they hand something over.

How fast can you start?

If something is failing right now, we can step in within days and stabilise it first, before anyone decides what the long-term answer is. If the way forward is not clear yet, we run a discovery: a two to three week piece of work that maps what is actually running, what depends on it and what breaks today. The blueprint that comes out is yours to keep, whether or not we do the build.

Do we have to pause the system while you take it over?

No. We watch the running system first and change nothing until we understand it and have written it down. The business keeps working the way it works today, and the first visible change is that you can see what the system is doing.

What if there is no documentation?

That is normal. Most systems we adopt have none, and the people who built them have moved on. We write the runbooks as we learn the system, from the code and the logs and the way it behaves in production, and those runbooks stay with you.

What does this cost?

Per engagement rather than from a rate card. A discovery is a fixed fee for a time-boxed piece of work. A scoped delivery carries a fixed shape and a fixed price agreed at the start, so the number does not move as we go.
